FACILITIES

More Information

Our new in ’22 glamping site also has a small modern, working sawmill and has produced all the timber for each of our solid structures. Each of our cabins has been designed, built and individually styled by us.

The Geo-Dome, Summerhouse and Kingfisher Cabin are set around the lake, each with their own view and where the huge variety of interesting bird and wildlife gather, including a Kingfisher family, Little Grebe and Tufted Ducks. We are also lucky enough to have an Otter family visit most days. The Shepherd’s Rest stands on its own in the Oak tree field fronted by the willow-lined stream.

We have rare breed chickens for eggs and grow lot’s of our own fruit, vegetables and herbs in our kitchen garden & polytunnel.

In brief, each of our accommodations consists of:

Inside

  • Ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin
  • Basic cooking facilities with halogen hob (store away when not in use)
  • Combination microwave/grill
  • Seating/sofa bed
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • All cutlery, cups, glasses crockery, cooking utensils, cafetière and more
  • Gas central/hot water
  • Woodburning stove (a basket of logs from our own wood mill supplied)
  • 100% cotton bed linen (for 2 people)
  • Towels
  • Small supply of tea, coffee andsugar
  • Useful information folder

*Breakfast pack available at extra charge (please enquire)

Outside

  • Patio/seating area
  • Table/bench & chairs
  • BBQ/firepit or kadai bowl
  • Charcoal BBQ
  • Beautiful views across the lake, streams and walks to the woods

* Use of purpose-built BBQ hut with wood/charcoal BBQ & wood-fired pizza oven

Access to your accommodation is reached by foot via the gravelled pathways. We can transport your belongings for you with our utility buggy.

We can accommodate up to 16* people for the possibility of group bookings for all 4 units for birthday celebrations, reunions, families and so on. Use of large vintage/industrial style BBQ hut with large charcoal BBQ, Pig roast burner, pizza oven and sit-up bar area, table and chairs. Lit with fairy lights inside which can be decorated and set for special occasions (extra charges apply).

We do not have adequate wi-fi signal and therefore do not offer the facility.

We have tried our best to leave the landscape as natural as possible. We have a lot of open water areas with no fencing/barriers. We feel that Woodmill Farm may not be suitable for younger children. Children under 16 must be always supervised.

Hot tubs are not available just yet but will be part of the intended future evolvement of Shropshire Glamping.

Just returned from a two night stay in the Geo Pod and had a wonderful time. Weather wasn't great but it didn't dampen our time there, managed to have a BBQ the first night which was wonderful and ate out in Shrewsbury the second night. Brilliant base to discover the area. Nothing was too much trouble for Bob and we had some lovely chats, we are hoping to return and maybe try the cabin next time.

Had a lovely weekend stay in the Summer House - the two of us and our two dogs! It was such a peaceful place to stay which was particularly great for one of our border collies who gets quite nervous and it was a good base for visiting other places around Shropshire too! ☺️ We had everything we needed in the lodge for a relaxing weekend away - thank you!

Just back from a wonderful stay in The Summerhouse. The accommodation was perfect; with a great shower, hob, combi microwave and bbq (a hot tub is also due to be installed soon). The owner, Bob was very friendly and helpful and even offered to fire up the communal pizza oven just for us. Lisa provided details of local dog walks and I can thoroughly recommend nearby Haughmond Hill which has miles and miles of trails where our dog could be safely off lead. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves and the best part for us was being able to relax and let our cocker Max roam free and mingle with Lisa and Bob’s dogs when they came to say hello. Great place, great hosts - would certainly recommend

What a find! Great last minute break to stay in the summer house, we loved it and didn’t want to leave! Bob and Lisa are so friendly as are the dogs especially Stanley who came to say hello. Truly idyllic setting waking up looking out over the lake. Thank you for making us so welcome.
