Shepherd’s Rest

The Shepherd’s Rest stands on its own in the oak tree field fronted by the willow-lined stream and is reached by foot along a gravelled walkway. The cabin is uniquely decorated and finished with cleverly designed features to make use of the comfy space available.

A raised ‘cabin-style’ king-size bed has the same level view through the window along the field to the oak tree. Under the bed is where the clever attention to detail can be appreciated. A pull-out hideaway table and 2 padded benches can be pulled out when dining, drinking or just sitting. One of the benches can be pulled out slightly and used to climb onto the raised bed. The bathroom has a full-size, powerful shower, beautiful granite sink and corner toilet. The hut is lit inside and out with lovely industrial-style lighting, and has full central heating.

The double ‘stable-door’ style doors lead out onto the steps to the garden patio where there is a table and chairs, BBQ and fire pit. There is a newly planted small orchard and shrubs.

We love dogs and well-behaved dogs are welcome (restricted to 2). For more information, view our dog policy.

We have a strict no-smoking policy across the whole site, inside and outside areas. Anyone not adhering to this rule will be asked to leave and no refund of any monies paid will be given.

We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where the accommodation has been left in an unacceptable condition Whilst we do not expect a thorough clean to be carried out, we respectfully ask that all crockery and cutlery/utensils are washed, towels/bedding are placed in the bags provided and all waste and litter is bagged, tied and left outside the door.

We will change your towels and bedding, on request, if you are staying for a week or longer.

All accommodation includes basic cooking facilities inside and BBQ facilities outside. You will also have access to our purpose-built BBQ hut with charcoal BBQ & wood-fired pizza oven.

Please note only two cars are included with each unit booked on our glamping site. Please let us know if you would like to bring an extra car before arriving on-site so we can make sure we have the capacity for this.

Terms & Conditions

  • The price quoted is unique to each individual accommodation. linen, pillows and towels will be provided for 2 persons staying in the Shepherd’s Hut and for up to 4 persons (if required) in the Kingfisher Pod, Geo-Dome and Summerhouse
  • A 25% deposit payment is required at the point of booking and the balance to be paid no later than 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the start of your holiday
  • Acceptance of the booking and initial payment forms the legal contract between yourself and Shropshire Glamping and by making the booking you are confirming that you are authorised to do so on behalf of all persons named in the booking and you are acknowledging that all members of your party agree to be bound by these booking terms & conditions
  • You are also confirming that the person making the booking is over the age of 18 and there is no one in the party under the age of 14
  • All bookings are confirmed by email and links for additional information, directions and maps etc are sent when the balance is paid
  • Payment can be made using the online booking system on the website or direct BACS bank transfer
  • ‘Extras’ can be paid for during your stay
  • Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in the cancellation of your booking and will be treated as a cancellation by you according to the terms and conditions

  • Guests can cancel up to 6 weeks (42 days) days prior to the start date of the booking
  • Please note that the 25% deposit payment taken at the time of booking is non-refundable, where booking payments is made in full before 6 weeks (42 days), a cancellation fee of 25% will be deducted from the refund
  • Cancellations within 6 weeks (42 days) of the first day of your booking will incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the value of your stay depending on if we are able to rebook the hut
  • We would strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover any cost should you have to cancel for any reason outside your control.
  • Should you wish to amend the date of your booking we require at least 42 days notice prior to your arrival date. We will try our best to accommodate your first date change free of charge, but we may have to charge a £25 admin fee in some circumstances
  • We cannot be held responsible for cancelling your booking as a result of your failure to comply with any requirement of our booking terms & conditions, and we cannot be held liable for any expenses, costs or losses incurred by you as a result of any change or cancellation
